Solar Hot Water
Hot water is a luxury that most use on a day-to-day basis. Hot showers, dishes, and laundry are among the largest uses of hot water.

Evacuated tube and flat plate-collectors are two of the most popular SHW system types, and EETN offers both of them with competitive pricing.
Evacuated tube collectors are comprised of multiple tubes containing a gas. As the sun's energy strikes the tube surface, the gas heats up and rises to the top of the tube. Water runs through the header where the top of the tube is held. The hot gas transfers heat through the top of the tube to the water passing through the header. That hot water then flows down to the solar hot water storage tank and passes through a heat exchanger to heat up the water inside the storage tank.

Flat plate collectors actually have water pass through extensive tubing within the collector. As the sun's energy strikes the collector, that heat is transferred to the water passing internally through the collector. The hot water then flows down and passes through a heat exchanger within the solar hot water storage tank where the stored water picks up the heat from the water passing through.
